Arumugarajah “Tharanee” Tharaneetharan, MD, PhD
I’m a physician-scientist working at the intersection of clinical medicine, neuroscience, and applied AI. My clinical and research depth spans epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, SMA, depression, pain, and addiction. I turn dense clinical evidence into clear, defensible decisions.
My career spans medical affairs, scientific communication, grant strategy, and clinical coverage work, from medical-necessity determinations and prior authorizations to denial claims and appeals, across neurology, psychiatry, and oncology/hematology.
Increasingly, my work centers on applied AI. I design and build software applications, machine learning algorithms, clinical decision-support tools, and board-exam preparation tools that streamline scientific and clinical workflows without sacrificing rigor.
My consulting is built for teams across biotech, healthcare, clinical practice, non-profits, and government that need senior medical-scientific judgment, with a partner who can also build the AI tools that put it to work.
